Description

The impetus for this adapter is:

  1. Use cheap alkaline AA batteries without risk to your device: AA alkaline batteries are less than a quarter each, vs over two dollars each for 123s, or more…a lot more…depending on where you buy them. Within a few sessions, the adapter will have already paid for itself!
  2. Leave batteries in device without risk: It’s annoying having to remove the battery to safely store your device. This adapter allows you to safely leave even the shadiest of el cheapo AAs in. If they leak, the most you’ve lost is a cheap AA battery holder (replacements available for $2 on Amazon). Use the handy on/off switch while using your nods, then when you go to put them away just unplug the USB-C cable to ensure your device is powered off. Leave nods on a shelf with confidence that they aren’t powered on; if the cable is unplugged, the device is 100% for sure off.
  3. Have AA compatibility for convenience: Ever get out to your range in the sticks and realize you’ve forgotten to put the batteries back in your nods? If you somehow manage to find an open gas station, what are the odds they’ll have 123s? And even if they do, best case scenario is you’ve lost an hour of range time and paid roughly the price of a dinner at a sit down restaurant for a two pack of them.
  4. Have AA compatibility for the zombie apocalypse: Remember in the Walking Dead when they had an unlimited supply of batteries by going door-to-door and raiding everyone’s remote controls? Yea, that doesn’t work if your stuff takes special batteries.

Warning: NOT for use with any other battery pack other than the type provided. Use only non-rechargeable AA alkaline batteries. Never use power banks or rechargeable batteries of any kind. If ever in doubt, verify with multi-meter that output is less than or equal to a maximum of 3v DC. Note that nearly all rechargeables and power banks are 5v DC. If you use anything other than the provided battery box, you do so at your own discretion and risk.
